Tallahassee Defensive Driving Course

DriveSafeToday is one of the leading providers of driving school classes in Tallahassee. We offer a full range of online driving courses and services to help Tallahassee's drivers dramatically improve their driving skills.

All of our online traffic school courses are approved by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. We maintain a close partnership with DHSMV to ensure that all of our courses comply with strict state testing standards.

Why Take Defensive Driving

A Tallahassee Defensive Driving course allows you to learn about Florida traffic safety laws, the best ways to follow them, as well as how to hone your driving skills. This knowledge will help protect you and your loved ones, not to mention the other drivers on the road.

Get Your Ticket Dismissed With Our Tallahassee Traffic School

Traffic tickets are always something to avoid, but if you find yourself getting them, you may eventually get a court directive to complete a driving course. You can also request, in person, by mail, or on the back of your citation, to complete a course to lessen the severity of your citation.

Once you've received permission, register for DriveSafeToday's online defensive driving course and complete the course within the period that the court allows, generally within 90 days for most classes. We will notify the Florida DHSMV on your behalf for most of our courses and provide a certification of completion when you successfully finish one.

Qualify for an Insurance Discount With Tallahassee Defensive Driving Course

We are the #1 recommended course by most Florida insurance companies! Taking a defensive driving course opens opportunities to reduce your insurance premiums and save you money.

Contact your insurance provider to determine if you qualify for an insurance discount by taking a driving safety class. If you are eligible, all you need to do is register on our site and complete the defensive driving course. You'll then receive a certificate of completion that you can send to your insurance provider, who will then apply your discount.

Tallahassee Traffic School Courses Overview

DriveSafeToday offers some of the lowest-cost driving courses in Tallahassee with no hidden fees. Our easy-to-follow, no-hassle courses feature audio narration included for free. Our courses are quick, convenient, and entirely online - available anytime, from any device. We also proudly offer US-based customer support should you need any additional help.

Basic Driver Improvement Course (BDI)

Our Basic Driver Improvement (BDI) Course is a comprehensive 4-hour course that is entirely online and consists of simple, easy-to-read sections. We've also included entertaining stories and interactive content to make our courses engaging rather than annoying. This course provides information on vulnerable road users, defensive driving, drugs and alcohol, driving regulations, car maintenance, and special driving conditions.

You may complete the BDI course at any point within the timeframe given. Whenever you log back in, the course will resume right where you left off. You must score 80% on the final exam to pass - but don't worry if you don't, you have unlimited attempts to pass within the timeframe at no extra charge.

Upon completion, the Florida DHSMV will be automatically notified, and a Certificate of Completion will be made available for downloading and printing.

Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE)

Our online Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education course is Florida DHSMV approved. This course covers how alcohol and drugs affect your ability to drive, as well as laws, responsibilities, safe driving techniques, and how to increase awareness on the road.

Completion of this course will allow you to fulfill one of the requirements for obtaining a learner's permit in Florida. Our course is also the simplest and most convenient way to complete the Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education course.

DHSMV Online Permit Exam

You must complete this exam to earn your learner's permit. The exam has 50 multiple choice and true/false questions - you must answer at least 40 of these questions correctly to pass. Additionally, the exam must be completed in one sitting - as it's a timed 60-minute exam.

As per DHSMV requirements, you have three chances to pass the exam online. If you fail to pass the exam online during these three attempts, you will have to retake the exam at your local DHSMV Office.

TLSAE Course and Online Permit Exam Combo

As both of these courses are required to obtain your learner's permit or first-time driver's license, registering for our convenient combo will help save you money. Upon successful completion of these exams, we'll provide certificates that you can download or print and immediately notify the DHSMV of your completion. This course is the most accessible, affordable, and convenient way to complete your learner's license requirements.

8 Hour Traffic School (Intermediate Driver Improvement)

This course is commonly required if you were ordered by a judge to complete an 8-hour defensive driving course or have received two citations within a 12-month time frame and are ineligible for the 4-Hour BDI course.

You are not required to complete the course in a single sitting and are free to finish whenever you want during the given window provided. If you log off, the course will always resume right where you were when you log back in.

Upon completion, we'll immediately provide a certificate to download or print. We can also send you a printed signed and sealed original certificate upon request. Be advised: we will NOT notify the Florida DHSMV you have completed the 8-hour traffic school course.

Florida Driving Records

DriveSafeToday proudly provides 3 year, 7 year, & complete (11-year) driving history records, obtaining them from the same database used by law enforcement agencies and the DHSMV.

While DriveSafeToday is a Florida DHSMV-approved provider of official driving records, your requested driving records will NOT show your name or address to comply with FL State law.
